Chef Toby Willis Wins Big at the Flavors of Nashville!

Flavors is a nationwide charity event held each year to raise money and awareness for the American Liver Foundation.  Chefs from around Nashville have joined together to celebrate this year’s event at the Nashville City Club.  Each table of attendees is paired with a chef who presents their dinner tableside.  The exciting part of the night is that guests do not know who their chef is or what they are eating until their table number is chosen during a drawing!

Chefs from amazing Nashville venues and restaurants, including Gaylord Opryland, Flyte, Saphire, Loews, The Mad Platter, Hillwood Country Club and Nashville City Club, came out in support of Flavors and the American Liver Foundation.

The Nashville City Club’s very own Executive Chef, Toby Willis, was awarded Best Menu and Best Overall! Congratulations to Chef Toby, Sous Chef John Williams and all of Toby’s fabulous staff!

To begin, Chef Toby served an amuse-bouche of Morel Panna Cotta paired with Four Vines Chardonnay.  Next up, guests enjoyed Raw Vegetable Minestrone with a selection of fresh, local vegetables, including fresh daikon radish, zucchini, celery root, carrot, pickled yellow, red and candy striped beets and cucumber.  Paired with Martin Codax Albarino, Seared Hamachi with bruleed watermelon, jicama, radish, yuzu vinaigrette and micro cilantro was presented for the fish course.  Making our way to the entrĂ©e, Chef Toby served a delectable Braised Pork Osso Bucco paired with Villa Calcinaia Cassara.  Finally, the night ended with Charred Strawberries, accompanied by chevre cheesecake, raspberry saffron sauce and a chocolate cookie crumble.

Thank you to all of the guests who attended and the Chefs who participated in Flavors of Nashville and helped put together a beautiful evening in support of the American Liver Foundation!  For more information about the American Liver Foundation or Flavors, please visit their websites.
